Curvy Carrot Juice {Carrot, Orange and Apple}

Curvy Carrot Juice {Carrot, Orange & Apple} has made its way into my home, and I do not see it leaving any time soon!

Why name it the Curvy Carrot?  Why not!  I am all about cute….sometimes wild……and if I am really feeling it….even sexy names!  Doesn’t happen all of the time, some food and recipes just don’t work out, and sometimes I just get lucky.  We all know that a carrot is not curvy…..but when you add in the roundness of an orange and apple….we have instant curves!

Carrot Orange Apple Juice

You all know that I have been juicing, but have seriously been in a stalemate, stuck on the Mean Green, with absolutely no variety.  Ask me about smoothies, and I can rattle a different one off each and every day.  Tons of variety in my smoothies (Pineapple Banana, Layered Tropical, with even more recipes to come soon)….zero in the juicing category!  Isn’t variety the spice of life?  So they say…… but fear holds me back…..ALL OF THE TIME!  BTW…who is they?  Who came up with the verbage, “variety is the spice of life”?  One of these days I will do a little digging on Google, and I am sure I will find my answer!  Google knows EVERYTHING!

Carrot Orange Apple Juice

I was extremely nervous about juicing carrots.   Don’t get me wrong, I love carrots and adore them in my very moist Zucchini Carrot Muffins and will eat them raw any day of the week, but drinking them.  YUCK!    Or so I thought!    A co-worker told me that she and her husband have been blending these 3 ingredients together to drink in the mornings.  If she can endorse it and give it a yummy rating then I had to try it.  Her recipe consisted of 3 carrots, 4 oranges and 2 apples.  She was right, it tasted great!  The only problem, for me, was that it was too sweet and I couldn’t detect the carrots in it.  If I was going to take the plunge, I wanted to taste it…even just a little.  Over the next few days, I played around with the quantity, and finally found the combination that worked for me.  This makes about 20 oz, enough for 2 canning jars.  Perfect for a mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack!  If you want to drink it in one sitting…..go ahead!  If you want to share it with your significant other, or children…..go ahead!  My site is all about what works best for YOU!

What are you waiting for…..give it a try!

Are you a novice, or a veteran, in drinking carrot juice?  What is your favorite recipe revolving around carrots?

  1. I drink that juice all the time:) It’s sweet and perfect! I’m worried that it’s bad for a person to drink so much sweet pressed juice everyday

    • Hi Anna! I don’t think that drinking 1 glass, even if it it up to 20 oz, is bad for you long term. Juicing/pressing your own is so much better for you than buying the store bought processed version. Thanks for stopping by!!

  2. This is excellent!! I’m moving to Canada soon and I said the first things I wanna buy when I get outta Korea are a juicer & blender and a slow cooker. I’ve a funny feeling this is gonna be one of the first juices I try! 🙂

      • We move March 26th. It’s so soooooon! A lot of our stuff is already IN Canada. It’s gonna be so weird moving. I’ve never actually been to Canada and leaving Korea after 5 years is gonna be a giant change…then again, my blender, juicer and slow cooker await! And an oven! A proper oven not a tiny toaster oven, I maaaay be slightly more excited about that! 🙂

        • Omg…I would be more excited over the oven! Big changes coming your way, it is going to be difficult adjustment, but there are soooooo many positives! Keep me posted! I have only been to Canada for hockey, but the amount I did see was beautiful!
