Cookies and Cream, Cream and Cookies? What you really need me to say is Oreo’s, Oreo’s and more Oreo’s, right? Don’t we all have a youthful admiration for these black and white beauties….no matter what our age?
Chocolatey crunchy outer shell with the most sinful, velvety white center!!
Don’t you love how some of our favorite foods are being married to an oldy but goody snack mix? I absolutely love how easy this Cookies and Cream Puppy Chow Mix comes together …….as long as you have all of the ingredients on hand that is! I now make a point to have at least one box of Rice Chex, and some Almond Bark on hand at all times. As long as I have these 2 ingredients, I can usually whip up some variety of Puppy Chow Mix pretty quickly. Comes in handy when you have a houseful of boys, and no other food in the house. Seriously, one of these days I will get organized again. LOL!!
Just for clarification…..you will not feed this to your dogs! I have no idea where the original idea of calling this yummy snack ‘Puppy Chow‘ came from {if anyone knows, please enlighten us all with a comment}, but it is for human consumption, not animal. I have also heard it being called ‘muddy buddies’, but I personally like the ‘Puppy Chow’ better. If nothing else…..it is FUN to say!
Speaking of perfect foods being married together, I will take this time to give a shout out to PT and say ‘HAPPY ANNIVERSARY‘! Twenty two years ago today, at 4 PM, we were married at St. Thomas Aquinas Church over at Purdue University. It is so hard to believe that he has put up with me for that long!! I know you were thinking it, I might as well voice it!!
Actually, we were together for five years prior, so he obviously has a lot of patience to put up will all of my ‘creative’ chaos for 27 years. As corny as it sounds, he and I fit together as perfectly as cookies and cream. We have a lot of ups and downs (what marriage doesn’t), but in the end we have always been able to work it out!!
Have a fabulous weekend everyone,
Shaunna
**I had a nice little analogy of how similar we are to an Oreo, but every description I used brought up alot of other visuals that no one needs to be envisioning. As this blog has a PG rating, you will all get the idea that after 27 odd years of being together, we fit perfectly together**
