Nothing welcomes in the Fall Season, Halloween and Thanksgiving more than this {Pay Day} Candy Corn and Peanuts Snack Mix!
Let me tell you a secret……I am not a candy corn fan! Huh!?
I might be that single person who doesn’t buy candy corn to eat on its own. K has a friend that will head straight to the candy corn (this is the one item of candy that I do not have to hide…..no one in my family will eat it straight out of the bag), and snack on it while playing Xbox or watching football on tv. Let me tell you another shocker…….. I don’t even seek out the Pay Day candy bar when a sugar craving has hit!
How in the heck did I learn of this amazing snack mix, if I am not a fan of candy corn? Years and years ago I was a Creative Memories Consultant and some of us hosted an October all day scrapbooking event. One of the other consultants brought this {Pay Day} Candy Corn and Peanuts Snack Mix as part of the snacks we were offering.
Loved the colors and thought it was a great idea, but it wasn’t until late afternoon when I finally caved and decided to sample it. The thought of eating pure corn syrup does nothing for me. I was sampling it out of courtesy…… I would have no problem taking a small handful and being done…….. Wish I could still say that….. LOL!
I am warning you right now……. this {Pay Day} Candy Corn and Peanuts is ADDICTING! Remember the Pringles potato chip commercials when we were kids? Won’t be able to stop at just 1? First of all, they are right, no one can just eat 1 Pringle. It is just not humanly possible! The same thing applies to this……. you will not be able to stop at just one bite! If you can, more power to you, and please give me a shout out, I want to hear from you!
This snack mix is great to have around the house this time of year. Stores well in an airtight container, and is the perfect snack to bring out when you are having company……both planned and the spontaneous kind!
{PAY DAY} Candy Corn and Peanut Mix
Serves: A lot
Ingredients:
- 2 (12-16 oz) pkgs candy corn
- 2 (1 lb) containers lightly salted peanuts
Directions:
1. Combine candy corn and peanuts. Store in an airtight container for up to 4 weeks.
Can’t get any easier than 1 direction. Gotta love it!

This sounds awesome. My daughter and I just actually added candy corn into a trail mix we made. Changed the entire flavor…we loved it. Oh, and also, your awesome candy dish…GORGEOUS! = )
