Imagine….

Thankful Thursday!

Imagine the possibilities.  Imagine is my favorite word, and can be found visibly in my house and in my life.  There is so much hope that is conveyed in this single word….like John Lennon’s famous song ‘Imagine’.  The official definition is:

im·ag·ine/iˈmajən/

Verb:       1.  Form a mental image or concept of.
                    2.  Believe (something unreal or untrue) to exist or be so. Ill health, real or imagined.

People can choose to use this word in a negative fashion…but my choice is to use it for the positive.

Imagine what you can do when you set your mind to it!

We all know what happens when we approach challenges with a mindset of possibility and optimism (pessimism is in my past): unexpected ideas and avenues for growth rise to the surface, while cynicism and hopelessness get swept under the rug!

A few years ago, a friend bought me a book: Introduction to  Jewelry Making.  She remembered me saying awhile back that it was something that I was afraid to do.  Because I was overwhelmed with the possibilities, and let’s face it….I was afraid of failing!  I chose to let my fear overshadow my longing to try it.

Boy, was I stuck.

What was I going to do?  I knew that she would ask me if I had taken the plunge and made anything yet!

Crap….and if anyone knows anything about me….I hate money being wasted.

I bit the bullet!  I didn’t just dip my toe in the water and swirl it around a bit.

Nope….I dove head first, holding nothing back, and I am officially a wire and beadaholic!  Love everything about it, and wish I had time to create more.

This is one of my favorite necklaces….and a piece of cake to make.  But I love how the pearl looks like a flower.  Made a bunch of these last year for Christmas and chose different meanings for the eternity washer.

Notice, I kept the one that said IMAGINE…….
