Picking up the Pieces…..

I am not alone when I say my world stopped in its track Friday afternoon when I learned of the horrific news coming from Newtown, CT!

Having 2 precious boys of my own, and both P and I working in a school setting brought tidal waves of emotion! How could this happen AGAIN?

We can’t possibly understand the horrific ‘why’, even when more details are unearthed…..

What we do know is that 20 beautiful children are lost to us, not having the chance to reach their dreams and full potential; 7 adults torn from their families/spouses/children way too soon! Similar to fireflies…..shining so bright, here one moment….gone the next….no rhyme or reason, and very hard to comprehend!

My thoughts and prayers go out to those that were lost in this tragic event, and for the families and loved ones left behind.
