Chicken Cordon Bleu Crescent Rolls

Chicken Cordon Bleu Crescent Rolls

I hope all of you had a fun, safe Independence Day!?

It was a slow day for us, not much going on.  PT and I puttered around the house, while B and K braved the suffocating, hot heat at Kings Island.  Let’s be honest, I love the heat….the hotter the better….but criminy, even I am starting to wilt–and dreams of the Fall, crisp air fill my head.

We did wrap up the evening with a cookout with our favorite neighbors.  With school and activities, we never get the chance to relax on the back deck and visit.  The only downfall……11:30 rolled around way too quickly, and thoughts of the work day ahead loomed for us all.  Oh well, at least the weekend is right around the corner!!

If you are needing a break from hamburgers, brats and bbq, I have the perfect, quick dinner idea for you.  These chicken cordon bleu crescents are scrumptious, and oh yeah…..they passed the picky eater’s test!   B and K were skeptical….really don’t like their foods mixing together, but who can resist breaded chicken, ham, ooey gooey cheese and buttery crescent rolls?    Let me hear it…no one!!

Crescents and chicken tenders are soooooo versatile!  They can easily be turned into your favorite family dinner…..envision buffalo chicken and chicken parmesan!   Mmmmmm……and hey…if you are wanting more ham and/or cheese…..go ahead, add it.  These recipes are my personal favorites, but everyone’s taste buds are different.  Adjust it to your own liking and your families preference.  These Chicken Cordon Bleu Crescent Rolls will be added to your family favorite’s recipe box…..pinky swear!

What is your favorite recipe using crescent rolls??

u Crescents

 Ingredients:

1 can crescent rolls, 8 count
4 slices baby swiss cheese
4 slices honey ham
1 tsp dried dillweed
8 fully cooked, frozen breaded chicken tenders- I prefer Tyson’s Southern Style

Directions:

* Cook chicken tenders according to the directions on the back of the bag. Set aside.   Turn oven temperature to 375 degrees.

* Separate crescent rolls into 8 triangles.  Cut honey ham and baby swiss cheese in half.  Place one chicken strip on top of the crescent roll.  Place a half slice of honey ham on top of chicken and top with slice of baby swiss cheese.  Sprinkle dill weed over swiss cheese.  Roll up crescent and place on cookie sheete.  Repeat with remaining chicken fingers and crescent rolls.

* Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown.  Serve with a side of honey mustard.

    • Absolutely you can freeze them Alexis! Freeze them after cooking, cool them down and then store them in a freezer ziploc bag. Perfect for college students and anyone living alone.
